Patrick Glennon is a New Jersey–based photographer whose career is rooted in a deep connection to music and the artists who create it. Specializing in live performance and portraiture, his images are known for their intimacy, energy, and emotional clarity. Patrick began photographing concerts in the mid-1990s, honing his craft in legendary spaces like Maxwell’s in Hoboken, where he lived for many years, and within New York’s Lower East Side music scene, where he continues to shoot to this day.
For more than 25 years, he has also documented Irish musicians on both sides of the Atlantic, capturing performances, festivals, and the evolving culture surrounding traditional and contemporary Irish music. His photographs span generations of artists — from newcomers finding their voice to established musicians shaping the modern musical landscape.
Patrick’s work has appeared in Rolling Stone and Hot Press, among other publications, as well as on numerous album covers and promotional materials. Guided by a documentary approach rooted in patience and respect, he continues to seek out artists who inspire him.
